The environment we live in is important and can support us to keep doing the things that matter to us 💡 As the nights are getting darker, consider plug in motion sensor lights to support you moving around your home at night

Momentous occasion today as SDWG and NDCAN members led the way in handing in the Alzheimer Scotland #StopTheCuts petition, we were pleased that Tom Arthur, Minister for Social Care and Mental Wellbeing received the petition & heard from members about the cuts & concerns.

Using a notebook to write down info such as names, places you go, or what you’ve done can help give context to your memories (e.g. who you had lunch with and the date) so you can look back later to remember people's names or what happened on a certain day. #WithOTuCAN

Communication in dementia isn't just about words — it's about tone, body language, facial expression, grace and patience. Even when memories fade, the need for connection remains. Offer kindness & listen with all the senses. #WithSLTuCan

Small changes in our home can make a big difference. 💡An idea for your living room. For your seats at home, chairs with arms and a seat at knee height are easier to get our of.
