Moving to a 4-day work week has been shown to:

⬆️Increase productivity
⬇️Decrease stress, burnout and sickness
⬆️Increase employee wellbeing and firm revenues

Hopefully a government pilot will inspire the private sector to test 4-day weeks.

Life expectancy in Scotland is falling and given the UK's rising inequality and general lack of social mobility, that will be a continuing trend until we accept we need to redesign the economic system!

Creating a wellbeing economy means enhancing wellbeing at all levels. That is why we champion the #WellbeingPension of £235 per week for every pensioner.

People in retirement should be able to live with dignity. It's as simple as that.

We return to the woods with a slight uptick in inflation for December.

Scotland needs land reform. The value of land is a function of its location and scarcity, neither is determined by improvements made by the owner. The current system rewards landowners for sitting on unimproved land.

CPI inflation has slowed to 3.9%, however core inflation (that is CPI excluding volatile items such as energy and food) remains stubbornly high at 5.1%.

It is clear that the UK economy isn't out of the woods yet.

🚨NEW: The government's levelling-up project has failed.

Our analysis shows how families across the country have gotten poorer since 2015 - with people in the North East hit the hardest.

This a very welcomed move by Scottish Government. Setting out a clearly defined goal for creating a #WellbeingEconomy will give policy makers something to aim at and a framework to create needed change.
