We've been informed by the emergency services that there's a fire near the tracks at Bathgate. For safety reasons, we are unable to run any trains through this area while the emergency services deal with the situation.

We’re working with the emergency services who are dealing with an incident involving a freight train at Inverness Depot. All lines to/from Inverness are currently closed, and we’ll share more details as soon as we can.

🚉 Addiewell's Platform 1 reopened on Saturday morning, after a £500,000 rebuild to address drainage issues and extend its life.

🧽 Our focus now switches to giving the station’s footbridge and lift towers a scrub, though this won’t affect train services!

Update: Our team has reopened the northbound line, but the southbound line remains closed. We’re looking at whether we can use the northbound line to run trains in both directions, one at a time, if the incident becomes prolonged. More soon. ScotRail London North Eastern Railway @DRSgovUK

We’ve had to close the Highland Mainline between Blair Atholl and Dalwhinnie due to a report of a possible sinkhole underneath the track. Engineers are on their way to investigate ASAP. We’ll share a further update as soon as we can.
