There are certain professions that are rooted in contradiction—education, medicine, politics and law—their work is invaluable, but the majority enact systemic violence against others; the institutions they work for, at present, were developed to function as such.

It feels like a joke because why are we still surprised that people exist in the context of all in which they live and what came before them? Of course in a ongong colonization there are going to be jobs which their primary function is to uphold the colonial system!
