One of Khamenei’s legacies will be an institutionalized system of clerical crony capitalism — setting up Iran’s economy so that it rewards loyalists but shuts out almost everyone else from prosperity. A couple data points:

Khamenei will be remembered as one of the worst leaders in Iranian history. A leadership style better suited for Switzerland than Iran; capable of only indecision, paralysis and maintaining the status quo.
