Meet our people. Chelsea is the Centre Manager, overseeing the Centre’s daily operations and actively contributing to its strategic direction. Chelsea is also a 20th-century historian specialising in the Second World War, the Holocaust, refugees, children and humanitarianism.

From the Topographies of Violence conference in Mostar to the Youth and Heritage summer school in Stolac, Bosnia, the Centre researchers Safet HadžiMuhamedović and Sofya Shahab explored what it means to protect, rebuild, and reimagine heritage after violence.

Meet our people. Ruth Olden is a cultural geographer with a background and training in landscape architecture. Her research seeks to advance geographical and interdisciplinary perspectives on memory, health and place, with a view to shaping innovations in placemaking practice.
