Our Year 6 sports leaders have received training today as they are going to be supporting school sporting events for Stafford schools sports partnership.

The sports leaders have had a great afternoon.

Congratulations to our Golden Book winners this morning. The theme this week was mathematics. Next week our theme is art and Mrs Holland will be choosing all the winners.

Congratulations to our maths mastery winners this week. To achieve maths mastery the children have to show that they know all their x and division facts up to 12x12 and can recall them without hesitation.

Last week our Y5and Y6 children took part in the Stafford schools swimming gala. The children performed brilliantly and there were many podium finishes which we will celebrate at our sporting golden book which will take place in the first Friday after half term.

Our reception children have made some wonderful models of animals that you will find in the Arctic.

The creative ability of our nursery children has been inspired by the Gruffalo. The models and pictures that they have drawn are wonderful.

Year 2 have been working collaboratively to produce some amazing big art faces.

Year 5 and 6 have been learning all about climate change and have even adopted a Polar bear. This afternoon they are holding a fund raising event to support climate change which includes a raffle for this wonderful prize!

The children have really enjoyed their learning about climate change and we are very proud of them for organising the event themselves.

The polar bear cakes have proved very popular!

The detail and vibrant colours make their outcomes so wonderful to look at.

Year 5 have been inspired after studying the Brazilian artist @RomeroBritto. They have produced some beautiful work.

The focus for our Golden Book this morning was PE. Congratulations to all our winners. The first Friday after half term we will be having a special Golden Book celebrating our sporting success.

Congratulations to three more Year 4 children who have achieved their maths mastery certificate. Well done!

Nursery have had a fabulous time celebrating Chinese New Year.

Year 4 have been making moving monsters in D and T using pneumatics.

Year 2 have really enjoyed their visit from zoo lab this morning.

Congratulations to our golden book winners this morning. The theme was home learning and all these children like so many our children at Oakridge put a great deal of effort into their learning beyond the classroom. Well done!
