Graduating from college with Comp Sci degree in 2002 kind of sucked. Post dotcom crash and 9/11. Looking for a new job fall of 2008 sucked too.

Twitter isn’t like, absolutely needed. People are waiting and seeing how bad Elon Musk can screw it up while eating their popcorn. Big thing is there isn’t a great other place to go. Mastodon or Tumblr or Discord.. Not the same.

Wow.. Apple just unfollowed everyone and deleted all their tweets. Have to always ask yourself “what would Apple do?”

iOS focus modes and OS itself needs a “vacation” or “holiday” mode. Not only change notifications and whatever else but turn off alarms and just all things you do (and should do) when you want to disconnect for a few days…and then easily turn back on when done

But to force users to sign into Twitter to comment seems like the wrong choice. While some people will do it even if they don't want to so they can join the discourse but they want to just disconnect from Twitter, let them? #scriptingnews scripting.com/2022/11/30/143…
