After three days of home schooling my kids, I think it’s fair to say our cats don’t approve of their idea of entertainment.

With @EDorsetPolice today for a 0700-1700 shift. Focused on patrols around Christchurch, Mudeford, Highcliffe & Friars Cliff to push the government’s message to #StayAtHomeAndStaySafe. Cars leafleted & advice given. Taking a trip to go windsurfing is not an essential journey!

Highlights from yesterday’s shift: 1. PC 244 (pictured) buying lunch for a homeless guy struggling to get food. 2. Staff in Poundland in Christchurch giving us chocolates to say thanks. 3. People taking daily exercise waving at us whilst on patrol. #StayAtHomeAndStaySafe

Foot patrol in #Wimborne and we’ve barely seen anyone. The few people we have seen (either exercising or queuing for shopping) are keeping 2 metres apart and following all the #covid19UK guidance. Sad to see the Kings Head all boarded up. Dorset Specials

Pretty varied late shift last night with @EDorsetPolice despite the #COVID19 lockdown. Patrolled areas known for drug dealing & gatherings. Then vehicle checks, ASB, welfare checks & patrolling the industrial estates around Ferndown which produced a good result. #OnTheBeatDorset

Early shift today. Checked the house of a dropped 999 call which quickly escalated into a medical emergency for both occupants & lives potentially saved. Then a unique blue light run to urgently transport an item to hospital. No two days ever the same with Dorset Specials.

Thank you to person in #somerford who left this on our car last night, shortly after #ClapForTheNHS. After dealing with a difficult job this was really appreciated by us and others at @EDorsetPolice back at the station. 🙂

Late shift on response with @EDorsetPolice last night. Included dealing with an injured deer, concern for welfare and joining #ClapForTheNHS in #Wimborne. Finished with a domestic where I took the lead and wrote up my first full PPN to safeguard the victim. #specialconstable
