Hey fellow Scots, I think we need to talk about something. Reading down the thread I see lots of affirmative tweets expressed almost wholly in ways displaying limited intellects. The online end of Scottish nationalism looks educationally subnormal to me. This is a problem.

1,000s of families robbed of a loved one, many businesses on the edge, economy to be “worst” in developed world, mass unemployment predicted, household incomes squeezed but the Covid debate in Scotland becomes a fight about the border with England. What an utter embarrassment.

As ever, she had to be dragged kicking and screaming into making this statement. If she had any decency this would have been denounced immediately and the individuals investigated. If party members they should be stripped of membership. But no. Why? Because these are her people.

I hear talk of Scotland getting full fiscal autonomy. I presume that would come with borrowing level limits and 3% annual deficit limits akin to those the EU insist upon in their shared currency arrangement? Only fair we are effectively in the shared UK currency zone.

Scotland needs a new devolved government. A government of national unity. One which will repair the ugly divisions with the rest of Britain and the disfigurement of #Scotland by the SNP. A competent government interested in governing not using the Scottish Parliament as a dagger.
