Gr. 2 had a chance at practicing their typing skills yesterday with lessons, activities and games! They loved it and one student said it was the best thing they’ve done all year! 😂 We call that a success! St. Bon's 🇨🇦
Kindergarten spent time today making mazes for the sphero bots! It was so fun to create a maze with dead ends and turns, and then to drive the bots through it! Melissa Follett St. Bon's 🇨🇦

We have 4 zones that are in the first room. Along with the meeting area, there is the: Book Nook, Chromebook Corner, Game Zone and Coding Zone! These zones have lots of space to develop interests or gain new ones! I’m sure these will be buzzing with excitement! St. Bon's 🇨🇦
Next is: Makerspace, Building Zone, Textiles/Cricut and Video Editing! The students will be eager to visit these zones and use their imagination and creativity for all of their brilliant ideas! St. Bon's 🇨🇦
Finally, we have another new addition! Our new podcast booths will be used a lot this year as students of all ages are eager to record podcasts. It’s going to be awesome to hear their podcast ideas come to life! St. Bon's 🇨🇦
The Kindergartens had their first Chromebook experience yesterday with a digital choice board all about pumpkins! They did a great job learning how to use the trackpad on a laptop and independently selecting their activities! St. Bon's 🇨🇦 #whatdidyoulearntoday
The K & 1s had their first STEM experience on Monday! They helped their friend Harry by building him a perch to see in the LC! It was excellent to see the Gr. 1s in a leadership role. Everyone was so creative with their planning and building! St. Bon's 🇨🇦 #whatdidyoulearntoday
The Gr. 6s are working on their first podcast! Their teachers planned a project within social studies and they’re using podcasts to show learning through an interview. They are recording and editing independently. Can’t wait to listen! St. Bon's 🇨🇦 #whatdidyoulearntoday
The Gr. 3s had their first publishing party today in the LC! The Gr. 1 students were invited as an audience and they were excellent listeners. What an amazing group of authors we have!! St. Bon's 🇨🇦 #whatdidyoulearntoday
All of our zones were being used yesterday! Our Gr. 6s were excited to explore and create in a zone of their choice 🎉 we love seeing the students develop their interests! St. Bon's 🇨🇦 #whatdidyoulearntoday
We love coding! The Gr. 3s began their first journey on Codingville and began to learn how to block code movements. For some, it was their first experience with block coding. They learned something new AND developed problem solving skills! St. Bon's 🇨🇦 #whatdidyoulearntoday
Kindergarten had fun driving our Sphero Minis yesterday! They learned about their motor, their shell, how to aim them, and of course, practiced taking turns! We even had a race at the end! So much fun 🤖🎉 #whatdidyoulearntoday St. Bon's 🇨🇦
The Gr. 1s spent some time with Botley today! We love using Botley, because it’s a screen free coding. They completed 3 of Botleys challenges today, and we had so much fun! St. Bon's 🇨🇦 Kathryn Coffin #whatdidyoulearntoday
