Our second ‘Borth Actif’ child development scheme. Action packed session beginning with an interactive story sack followed by a treasure hunt, potion making, animal mask decorating. 🐯 🐸

Today ‘Summer of Fun Session’. The children loved taking part in the ‘sink or float’ experiment, assault course, sensory tuff trays. ⚽️💧 As well as making dream catchers to put above their beds to catch all their bad dreams 💭

We run our session rain or shine ☔️ Today despite the rain we made colourful snails, took part in a bug hunt with plastic bugs 🐛, enjoyed more water play, explored the sports activities as well as taking part in a massive egg hunt ⚽️🥚 #summeroffun

Last ‘Summer of fun’ session. 🌞 We explored winter and water tuff trays and made leaf hedgehogs. It’s been such good experience to run these sessions. 😊 My main focus for these sessions was to allow free play throughout. I have learnt a lot going forward into my career 👩🏼‍🏫

So proud to have received a First Class Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Primary Education Studies Degree. All the hard work was worth it. Can't wait to start my next venture undertaking PGCE in Aberystwyth University 🎓

My goal is to be fluent in welsh by the time I start my teaching profession. Actively making this happen through enrolling onto the Dysgu Cymraeg Ceredigion Powys as well as undertaking daily Duolingo.

I'm excited to be leading the 'Summer of Fun' activity sessions again this year☀️ This week we had a range of activities to explore for ages 0-12years. Den building ⛺️, sand play🏖️, water play🌊, ice play , bubbles 🫧 as well as a rainbow craft activity🌈

Spent the day working at the Eisteddfod eisteddfod representing Borth Family Centre. I was in charge of leading the craft activity. We made Welsh themed crowns. 👑 Also, provided me with a great opportunity to put my Welsh into practice and develop it further. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Along side leading the Summer of Fun activity sessions I am also leading the Borth Community Hub Cafe. 🍴 The cafe is intergenerational, providing an opportunity for the community to come together, meet new people and socialise whilst indulging on our home cooked food. 🧁🥗

This weeks 'Summer of Fun Session' the families enjoyed stone painting and chalk drawing. As well as small world play, water play and wide range of child led activity stations 🖌️🦕🧸

Just like that I have completed nearly a month of my first placement as a PGCE student. Today we all dressed up as Superhero's to end our 'topic lessons' with a bang.🦋 Looking forward to continuing to learn and develop my teaching. 👩‍🏫
