Historical stereotypes are a part of cultural heritage. We have access to millions of heritage objects online. And many of them contain outdated and offensive language, which we wouldn’t use today. How can we make representation of cultural heritage more inclusive and respectful?

Everybody thought hard about the different norms and values at play in different types of Recommender Systems. Conclusion: it's complicated! Mission accomplished.

The HAICu project got accepted! In a huge consortium of cultural heritage institutes, AI research groups and humanities groups, we will work on AI for cultural heritage. The HCDA group CWI will tackle bias, polyvocality and transparency. Still the best news of the week 😃
