A major Somali pirate leader Mohamed Abdi Hassan (58) has been imprisoned for 20 yrs by a Belgian court, guilty of piracy and torture,

The pirate, known as 'Afwanye' was involved in the hijack and hostage taking of M/S Pomei in 2009. A second pirate was sentenced to 5 years.

'Afwanye' or 'Big Mouth' as he was known, famously held a sickening press conference to announce his retirement from the piracy 'business'.
