Cst. Fred Brown recently attended the 2025 Special Olympics MI State Summer Games opening ceremony in Michigan! Fred has been involved with the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for 31 years, raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics.

Our High School Liaison Officer, Cst. Lyndsey Pilkington, had a great time playing pickleball with students from the Kina Awiiya Secondary Program and Prince Charles Secondary School at the Waterfront Adventure Centre last week!

Cst. Chris Cuglietta recently visited a kindergarten class at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School to speak about the role of a police officer in our community. Students even got to explore a police cruiser, check out some handcuffs, and try on Cst. Cuglietta's vest!🚓

Yesterday, Sault Police took part in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ontario alongside local athletes — and even a few four-legged friends 🐾

Cst. Pilkington recently stopped into the local elementary school track and field meet and saw some familiar faces volunteering from the high schools she serves. She says all of the athletes worked hard for their schools and she was impressed with how well they all performed! 🏃

Last week, Cst. Havens and Cst. Gibson spoke with a grade 4/5 class on drugs and alcohol, signs someone may be impaired, and the importance of not getting in a vehicle with an impaired driver. These conversations are key to empowering youth to make safe, informed choices.
