Visit to the SEFF Project, Mwenezi District, by the EU Delegation to Zimbabwe 🇪🇺 and Heads of Department Corporation in the Embassies of Switzerland, France, Ireland and the Netherlands.

Sesame boom in Mwenezi District beckons. Smallholder sesame growers working with Sustainable Agriculture Technology and WFP Zimbabwe in Ward 2 are now harvesting their crop ready for the export market in Japan.

Today we attended the Ground Breaking Ceremony for a Multi Service Centre in Rutenga, Mwenezi hosted by the Sustainable Agriculture Technology (SAT) Sustainable Agriculture Technology The event unveiled a Paprika Processing Plant, Sesame Value Addition Centre and a Youth Vocational Training center.

Grateful to the Government of Japan🇯🇵 for stepping up with a ¥792,000,000 (approx. US$5.1M) contribution to World Food Programme! This funding will bolster climate resilience and sustainable agriculture for 37,000 smallholder farmers in Zimbabwe.

Stepping into uncharted territories, breaking barriers, and redefining possibilities. World Food Programme don't just support communities with food, we teach them to produce it for #Zimbabwe and beyond🌏. For the first time, about 3⃣0⃣0⃣0⃣ smallholder farmers who grew Sesame exported it↗️.
