Tonight there’s a total lunar eclipse for people between Europe and Australia. Sorry, not visible for those of us in North or South America 🥲 Even though it’s not visible for me, I’ll have a special image I’ll share tomorrow I captured during the last eclipse. Hope you like it!

It’s a full moon today! 🌕 Skywatchers in most of Africa, Europe, Asia and Australia may also see a lunar eclipse, or Blood Moon. Totality will begin around 1730 UTC and last for about 82 minutes. No matter where you are, you can learn how eclipses work: science.nasa.gov/moon/eclipses/

I used two telescopes taking thousands of photos while tracking the moon to capture star trails that visualize the motion during a lunar eclipse. The resulting image is my latest limited edition artwork, available for a short time at the link in my bio.

Hope those outside the U.S. are enjoying today’s lunar eclipse! Here’s the sequence from Florida as captured in March of this year.

Here are some shots of yesterday’s lunar eclipse. We only had short windows of time to catch a glimpse of the moon before it was obstructed by parts of the International Space Station. My crewmates, Zena Cardman and 油井 亀美也 Kimiya.Yui were able to get some great shots as well.

LIVE: We're sharing the latest findings from our Perseverance rover, which is studying Mars for signs of ancient life. Tune in: x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

After a year of scientific scrutiny, a rock sample collected by the Perseverance rover has been confirmed to contain a potential biosignature. The sample is the best candidate so far to provide evidence of ancient microbial life on Mars. go.nasa.gov/4n35lVM
