I received my copy of Forgotten Pioneers today from Pitch Publishing 📚 Sports Books. It looks absolutely fantastic! It is available to preorder now and comes out in hardback on 13 May.
Although the hardback version has been slightly delayed (but can still be pre-ordered!), I believe that the Kindle version of my book about the Original English Lady Cricketers, published by Pitch Publishing 📚 Sports Books is available now. Please spread the word!! pitchpublishing.co.uk/shop/forgotten…

Fitz Hinds played for Barbados and was at the centre of several controversies (not of his own making). He toured England with the West Indies in 1900 before moving to the US. But not only has he been forgotten, he has been misidentified in history books oldebor.wordpress.com/2024/04/08/wro…

I’ve got an article about Charlie Absolom, the one-Test wonder who fled to the USA after a heartbreak and died in mysterious circumstances, in the latest issue of The Nightwatchman
Harold Gimblett had one of the most incredible first-class debuts of all time when he scored 123 in 79 minutes for Somerset in 1935. The following year, he scored a fifty on his England debut, but his career never quite lived up to these amazing beginnings oldebor.wordpress.com/2024/02/27/the…
C. A. V. Makaula was a mixed-race cricketer from South Africa who briefly played in the Bradford League and Lancashire League in the 1920s. But that was just one part of the frankly extraordinary life of him and his family
