Wow, what a powerful story. Listen to your body and don’t be afraid to ask questions/seek a second opinion. Weight loss is an easy prescription but it’s not always the answer. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I cringe when I hear poor nutriton advice like”avoid starchy veggies, they’ll promote spikes in insulin📈leading to fat gain”. 🤦‍♀️ 🚫No one ever got fat from eating too many veggies or🍉. What does make people fat?🤔 ⚖️Too. Many. Calories . I.e. energy surplus. Eat the darn 🌽

#DYK if every family wrapped *just THREE* holiday gifts in reused materials, it would save enough paper to cover 45,000 football fields? 🤯Most gift wrap can’t be recycled. #ChristmasGift #sustainability #helpourplanet 🎁 🎁🎁

Somehow advocating for science when it comes to food gets confused with advocating for an unhealthy diet. Understanding that organic is no safer or more nutritious than conventional and that you don’t need to fear safe additives can lead to a much healthier diet and less worry.

😂 Yes! BTW, plenty of processed foods are great and nutritious staples to the diet. Some of my favs are pasteurized milk, canned veggies & whole grain cereals. We shouldn’t be scared of “processed”, words we can’t pronounce or perfectly safe additives. #FactsNotFear

Deliveries are safer during the coronavirus pandemic, but sometimes a store visit is unavoidable. Here are the precautions to take.

Shaming during a pandemic: Cleaned every closet? You’re too productive. You made masks for the entire neighborhood? You’re too generous. Working out everyday? You’re too active. Watched Netflix all day? You’re too lazy. ❤️Please remember everyone is coping in their own way

Could the occasional cheeseburger wipe out the benefits of a healthy diet? “Not really, a new meta analysis published in the Journal of Hypertension suggests.” bicycling.com/news/a33509498… #dashdiet #bloodpressure

I don’t know who needs to hear this but...You can lower the salt, sugar & saturated fat in your diet, by increasing fruit, vegetables, beans, & and whole grains - - - without having to use “alternative” sugars, flours, oils or “milks”.
