Today I saw a small herd of sheep get pelted by giant hail with no where to go. I’ll spare the details but I’m not even remotely ok about it

A strong tornado, likely high-end EF2 or perhaps EF3, hit Kentucky in the predawn hours this morning. It formed outside of any forecasted tornado risk in Washington County. A cluster of non-rotating storms gave rise to an embedded small spinning supercell.

This includes the Raleigh-Durham area and Greensboro — remember whether you’re in the center of the watch or the edge, if you’re in it at all, there’s a reason! #ncwx

Took my first tornado selfie with the Arnett, OK tornado back on May 18. We all know I’m not a photographer…but I tried my best despite not being able to see my phone. Usually I’m busy running around like a wild ass so this was the first time I remembered to take one.

Me honking and screaming “go Thunder! Whoooooo!!!” Thunder had just won the conference semifinals and we nabbed an epic tornado 🌪️ — it was an unbeatable day in Oklahoma!!! (For context Jordan also wore his Thunder jersey to chase that day)

Tornado WARNING for Luray! This is the “northern bookend vortex”, or the northern tip of a squall line that curls back on itself and acquires counterclockwise rotation. Increasing tornado risk along I-81… the spin gets “stretched” as elevation sinks, tightening the spin.
