This sums up much of how I aim to approach my work: of course people's experiences of mental illness and pharmacological treatments are influenced by the society they live in. I do my best to make this context central to my work with patients.

Today is National Schizophrenia Awareness Day I am 1 of the 24 million globally, 685k nationally, 1% of people dx with schizophrenia Dealing with stigma is 1 of the hardest aspects of having schizophrenia & it’s getting worse, despite general MH awareness improving #NSAD24

CMHP are committed to ensuring that people with schizophrenia receive the best treatment with medicines according to their individual needs. This means supporting people wherever we can to make informed choices and advocate for safer use of medicines #NSAD24

SPS is developing a tool to show appropriate product options when deprescribing antidepressants & want to test a prototype with users DM if you're a prescriber involved in deprescribing antidepressants in any care setting & have 15-20 mins at the end of next week to help us

I am really excited about this work from NHS Specialist Pharmacy Service to provide practical tools to improve antidepressant deprescribing. Anyone interested in helping with prototype testing?
