Last night, Tennessee’s extreme drag show ban was struck down and ruled unconstitutional by a Trump-appointed federal judge. Tried to tell my Republican colleagues when they introduced it on the House floor, but yet again they had to FIND OUT. Happy Pride, y’all!! 🏳️‍🌈

Supporting doctors supports the patients they treat. I applaud the residents and fellows of Mass General Brigham as they unionize with CIR/SEIU and advocate for the conditions they need to provide exceptional care for our communities. These workers don’t agonize—they organize.

Meanwhile in NY the Residents just won expanded access to Haitian Creole remote and in-person interpreters in a huge victory for health equity. Still puzzled by our desire to unionize? MGB Housestaff United

My MGB PGY-1 salary (including the new stipend) is ~$20k higher than that of a BMC PGY-1, and approx the same as that of a BMC PGY-7. SEVEN. In the same expensive city. Most updated pay scales I could find pictured. Looking forward to this gap closing #faircontractBMC

Disappointed that Mass General Brigham has failed to complete, let alone respond to our union’s request for information (RFI). With solicitation policies barring work emails as an option, this request is the main way to reach our unit. MGB Housestaff United

As MGB Housestaff United grew, MGB increased a 2.5% raise to ~10% + 10K stipend. We still unionized suspecting this $ wasn’t bc trainees are valued, but to make us think we didn’t need a union. Now they’re axing other benefits. We were right not to trust, and now we stand together.

Negotiating with MGB on salary one year after unionizing means hearing how residents/fellows don’t even deserve an inflation adjustment for salary 👎MGB Housestaff United
