I’m voting yes for an MGB Res/Fellow Union. I say it proudly for all the trainees in dpts more likely to face retaliation & to open the door for other staff who help run MGB but aren’t paid a living wage, plus the attendings paid below market value MGB Housestaff United

My MGB PGY-1 salary (including the new stipend) is ~$20k higher than that of a BMC PGY-1, and approx the same as that of a BMC PGY-7. SEVEN. In the same expensive city. Most updated pay scales I could find pictured. Looking forward to this gap closing #faircontractBMC

Disappointed that Mass General Brigham has failed to complete, let alone respond to our union’s request for information (RFI). With solicitation policies barring work emails as an option, this request is the main way to reach our unit. MGB Housestaff United

As MGB Housestaff United grew, MGB increased a 2.5% raise to ~10% + 10K stipend. We still unionized suspecting this $ wasn’t bc trainees are valued, but to make us think we didn’t need a union. Now they’re axing other benefits. We were right not to trust, and now we stand together.
