The truce in Yemen is set to expire on Oct. 2, three days from now. This fragile peace has been a life-saving reprieve for millions. Lawmakers in D.C. can help extend it by supporting the Yemen War Powers Resolution and in turn, bolstering the peace process.

THREAD: I was honestly surprised that Sen. Bernie Sanders withheld the vote tonight on the WPR. Regardless, I support Sen Sanders giving the Admin the opportunity to see if there is a bill that Senate Dems and the President can agree on.

Our 100+ org coalition's goal is to end US complicity in the war. We will work with anyone who wants to help us get that done. Sen Sanders should reintroduce the bill in the 118th & start the negotiation from there. If they can’t agree, Sanders must force a vote on the WPR.

👋🏽 My critique of our foreign policy, Israeli’s policy towards Palestinians or that of any foreign nation will not change. As a person who suffered the horrors of war and persecution, my advocacy will always be for those that suffer because of the actions of governments.
