This is an excellent listen. Anyone interested in the tax challenges facing the new Government or looking to explode some tax myths should definitely have it on the to do list. Who knows you might even join the tax nerd community! youtu.be/-Onwf0Eybpg

Tax breaks for those opting to use private healthcare are unlikely by themselves to reduce the burden on the NHS. Not sure it makes sense to use the tax system to resolve fundamental structural / societal problems - problem is far too entrenched and complicated to begin with

I know this is hardly news to most legal pros but I can confirm that when you test ChatGPT and CoPilot with a case law research question, the majority of “cases” that show up are entirely fictitious. Be careful!

Full of admiration for Ray McCann who has agreed to take on loan charge review. Not an easy job but if anyone can sort it out he can. I hope all involved will give him full support for the best chance of a reasonable resolution.

I am deeply concerned that endless doomsplaining around the scope of the new review into the #LoanCharge before it has been properly tested is only adding to the distress of those affected. I am confident that Ray McCann will figure it out.

Whilst it's received little media coverage, I will be very interested in the findings of the #LoanCharge review published today. I still have numerous clients affected, including one on an 18 year Time-to-Pay arrangement. Hopefully some sort of justice will be done
