First Minister John Swinney attended the opening of the @ChurchScotland General Assembly.
The theme for this year’s Assembly is 'Building Together'.
@ScotGov is committed to supporting all faith and belief communities and encouraging community cohesion across Scotland.
The Duke of Edinburgh, representing the King at the General Assembly, thanked Church of Scotland chaplains for supporting the royal family after the Queen's death.
He also wished the Church well in continuing to be a positive force nationally.
