Days 6 & 7 of #AFSCTS2023 have been a blast! 📸🇿🇦 On Day 6 we had Lain E. Pardo V. take us through occupancy 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣1️⃣💻 & today we've had a well earned day off exploring Kruger! We were treated to some great sightings 🦁🐘🐆🐃 but this male leopard was definitely the highlight! 🤩

Yesterday we wrapped up the first #AFSCTS2023 😊 The final day involved a discussion around the camera trap images collected during the course, a chance for students to work on their own data with input from lecturers, followed by sundowners & a final leopard sighting! 🤩📸🇿🇦🐆

A fantastic plenary talk by Nathalie Seddon to kick off #BES2024 - hugely inspiring and thought provoking!

Had a great time yesterday on the ‘Ecological Models for Non-Mathematicians and Non-Programmers’ workshops yesterday! Great to learn a new skill and apply it within my study system - now to find a way to include it in my research! 🦁 #BES2024

Really enjoyed this fascinating talk by Peiyun Li on multi-species occupancy and snow leopards - love hearing about studies using similar methods to mine, but in completely different ecosystems 🐆#BES2024

Favourite talk of the morning was Rachel Zuckermans fantastic presentation on interspecific competition in desert ravens - great slides, engaging content, and awesome to see deserts represented! #BES2024
