Hospitality has had such an awful year and I don't think it's fair that they take so much blame. The percentage of outbreaks in those venues is small. I think pubs, restaurants, cafes etc have done a fantastic job and the vast majority people are being sensible there.

Terrible news to start the day. A friend of mine has killed himself. He lost his business and marriage last year. The mental health implications of the Covid crisis are huge and the government must find ways to support people with mental health issues right now.

If our government, media and politicians hadn’t received a penny in earnings for 10 months, they probably would have had a very different attitude towards shutting down the livelihoods of 3 million self employed workers that haven’t received any income over the past 10 months.
