A hurricane of this magnitude is already scary. This early in the hurricane season when historically this is still the “calm” portion makes that exponentially worse because people are simply not ready.

Just heard that #hurricaneBeryl is now a CAT 5 storm heading for Jamaica in JUNE. 10 years ago I spoke about working hard to avoid what is now a reality today. My heart is literally broken.

NEW: A list of shelters in Jamaica have been released, as the country prepares for the arrival of Hurricane Beryl. Beryl is still a Category 5 hurricane and is scheduled to reach Jamaica on Wednesday. If you have family/friends in Jamaica please ensure they are prepared. 🙏🏾🇯🇲

And we must be able to access the funds quickly and easily. There's no time for exorbitant amounts of paperwork.

This relief drive has received enough clothes but desperately need the following items: rice, pasta, tuna, corned beef, toothpaste, toothbrushes, nappies, baby formula, paracetamol, ibuprofen, adult nappies and sanitary items. UK community 🇬🇧 please take note. #HurricaneBeryl
