It was a great pleasure, along with Lord Mayor of Leeds 2025-26 and jo ropner North Yorkshire Lieutenancy, to wave off the aid convoy of seven Yorkshire Aid Convoy 🇬🇧🇺🇦🚛 vehicles, setting off from Bowcliffe Hall heading to Ukraine. The 8th convoy in 24 months, a magnificent effort by a great Yorkshire charity!

I spent a great morning Castleford College at their Give Construction a Try day. Enabling school students to get a taste of the wide range of opportunities in the construction industry.

A lovely event today to mark the 60th anniversary of the Wright family establishing @Wyedeanweaving in Haworth. The company, which can trace its origins back over 170 years, manufactures military uniforms, braid, insignia, regalia and accoutrement.

Congratulations Leavers The Leavers' Concert at Bradford Grammar School was outstanding. There were brilliant performances by musicians & singers. So much talent in one school. We'll done pupils & staff.

Bramhope Remembrance Service Orgs including the British Legion, Guides, scouts, brownies & beavers joined the parade and many locals in Bramhope this morning followed by a Service with St Giles the Methodist churches.
