Sandy PD is doing ongoing crosswalk enforcement to help prevent auto-pedestrian crashes—but we need your help! 🚗 Drivers: Stop behind the crosswalk line. 🚶‍♀️ Pedestrians: Stay alert & make eye contact with drivers. Let’s all work together!

A driver was stopped for going 72 MPH in a 40 MPH zone on 9400 S. This kind of speeding is extremely dangerous—it reduces reaction time & increases crash severity. Sandy PD will continue enforcing speed laws to keep our roads safe. #SlowDownSandy

Our officers are continuing crosswalk enforcement efforts to help raise awareness and prevent serious injuries. Vehicle vs. pedestrian accidents can have life-changing consequences. We ask that drivers and pedestrians be alert and aware of their surrounds at all times.
