@NP-MRD at #ASP2023 Did you know that Journal of Natural Products ACS Publications now requires that any studies using NMR make raw NMR data available? The Natural Products Magnetic Resonance Database (NPMRD) is a fantastic, free open access resource for NMR data deposition.
School of Chemistry IISER Thiruvananthapuram has been listed in the Nature Index at the 7th position in the nation. Please find more about our Chemistry Dept and research activities, etc. youtube.com/watch?v=Er5hQo…
What a fantastic group of scientists/athletes!!! 🥎 The first annual softball game of chemistry graduate students vs. faculty and staff is in the books! Go Chem + Biochem UNCG!!! 💙💛
Our paper entitled "Catalytic Mechanism of Nonglycosidic C–N Bond Formation by the Pseudoglycosyltransferase Enzyme VldE" on ACS Catalysis. This is my 10th research paper🥳pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Thrilled that our review on plant RiPPs is out now! We group emerging plant cross-linked NPs as burpitides for the defining BURP-domain responsible for catalysis. Thanks to a great collaboration with Dr. Lisa Mydy kersten lab and @mikepasquale77 from my lab! pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
Very happy to share that our new group website is online now😎 check it out for more details about our research Antibiotikaforschung (inaktiv). Thanks for the opportunity to be now a part of this wonderful community and work in such an inspiring environment.
Next up, Chekan Lab is taking a deep dive into COPPER DEPENDENT PEPTIDE CYCLASES IN PLANT PEPTIDE BIOSYNTHESIS #SBNP24
Out now in ACS Catalysis, we develop a chimeric fusion N-glycosyltransferase for targeted and selective peptide modification, especially in vivo. We use it to make a new glycocin derivative (RiPP NP). Congrats to Smith Ayoola Babalola for leading this work!🎉 pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Out now in Chem , we collaborate with Piel Lab to discover a prenyltransferase+terpene cyclase fusion enzyme that modifies Trp residues in RiPPs to yield complex steroid-like scaffolds! Congrats to Florian Hubrich, Sanath Kandy for leading this!🎉authors.elsevier.com/c/1jjdi8jWHELG…
Congrats to Florian Hubrich & Sanath Kandy for this exciting story finally being published. Thanks for the fruitful collaboration with @chekanlab. If you are interested in the chemical space of #RiPP #biosynthetic #enyzmes and #isoprenoids, click here: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
