It’s been a long winter here in Oban and not helped by covid but we are back into field operations again. Coming up soon, two Seaglider deployments and a recovery. Plenty of testing to be done while we wait for a weather window!

It’s been a very, very long but very productive day here - 130 miles covered, 10 hours, and still going. 2 gliders recovered and 1 glider deployed. Nice to be out in relatively calm weather, and with a few besties about. Thanks to Coastal Connection and Sea Harris for assistance!

Local sea trials for a seaglider with an integrated current profiler (see if you can spot it in the 3rd photo!). We aim to deploy this glider in the coming weeks. Local trials have the benefit of a kettle and calmer seas ☕️🌊. Offshore deployments do not tend to have these 🙄
