Not often an NAU Track & Field/XC All-American moonlights as a xc stringer for the local paper. Great job, Drew Bosley. You could tell an actual runner wrote it — no offense to other sportswriters, though. Let’s see more of that.

Here’s a big thank you to the City of Flagstaff for smoothing out and adding soil to the FlagstaffUrbanTrails on the badly eroded Santa Fe and up the Tunnel Springs hill trails. Enjoyable run this morning.

As a sportswriter, I saw some things: Gibson’s walk-off HR in ‘88 Series; Lakers winning title at Boston Garden. Takes a lot to impress me. But Fiona O’Keeffe’s Oly Trails run moved me. Gutsy to take off at M 16 in her debut. Watched her since Davis High days. So happy for her.
