The UCP does not care about Calgarians. Rather than fund this absolutely necessary piece of infrastructure, they'd rather pick fights and waste money. It's the only thing they're good at. It’s time to build the Green Line and build the city we deserve.

What construction companies will want to bid on projects in Alberta when their government contracts could be broken at any moment? The UCP’s politically-motivated decision on the Green Line hurts businesses, our economy, and Albertans.

Cancelling the Green Line means more bumper-to-bumper traffic with no relief. Nobody is asking for that. Just like nobody is asking for more dangerous jobs at lower pay and for their CPP to be taken away. We need a government that cares about you. #FinanceFriday

It’s hard to build big things in Canada right now, and it’s crushing our economy. Here’s an example of the UCP wrecking a good, job-creating project for no reason. And that means fewer jobs, worse pay, less growth, and a continued infrastructure deficit.

After they damaged the renewable sector the UCP are now harming the building sector. and creating general distrust in government by contractors. And they are making the infrastructure deficit worse.

The UCP made every major public works project in Alberta more expensive by killing the Green Line. Business relies on predictability, and by removing certainty, this govt has ensured that bidders will either charge more or go somewhere less risky.
