Naomi Klein: "Zionism was an antisemitic idea from the start", reminding that the only British official opposing the Balfour declaration was the only Jew, Edwin Montagu, because he saw it as antisemitic.

Every single American is of ‘somewhere’ origin, but it’s only needed in headlines when covering for murder by an Israeli, it seems. BBC so happily carrying water for Israel. Beggars belief quite frankly.

That is certainly what it looks like, and I still have absolutely no idea what the US would prioritise Israel over its own country and citizens.

A random&incomplete&STILL far too narrow list of books I'd suggest for young (or old, or any aged) men looking to get into literary fiction: Arundhati Roy/God of Small Things&The Ministry of Utmost Happiness Jeanette Winterson/Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit Toni Morrison/Beloved

Sam Missingham A failure of imagination. It still seems astonishing that in 2024, many men simply can't bring themselves to go on the journey with a female writer or protagonist. Not without the most tiresome caveats, anyway. Even the (excellent) Roddy Doyle novel choice here seems strained.

Honestly, women have to live with an insane amount of abuse from men for as little as having an opinion on something. Imagine how fucking tedious that is for a second. Before we get started on violence, SA, DV etc etc. and you still want me to cheerlead for you all?

Agree. Isn't this called foreign interference? I absolutely don't want the UK to go as far down the road as the US has, or we'll be having Netanyahu speaking in Houses of Parliament next. And quite frankly, I can't see anything apart from malignant outcomes to closer links.
