Landscape. It’s easier to paint watercolour on rough or cold press paper but I wanted to see how I could use hot press paper for this

I attempted to captures the quiet stillness of Franklin reservoir at dawn, where the water meets the sky in a soft, muted harmony. Inspired by Andrew Wyeth’s restrained palette and his ability to evoke deep emotion through simplicity, I’ve worked with a limited range of colour.

I have been playing around with painting landscapes recently. Many I don’t like and throw into a box but for some reason I am happy with this one.
