Why did I attend Industrial action in the city? It’s not about teachers just wanting more money. We need measures that stimulate demand for talented and motivated people wanting to enter the teaching profession, not ones that just lower the bar to increase supply. #MoreThanThanks

To my teacher friends that remain in the classroom, you have my utmost respect. If I were still teaching in a classroom I would have walked out and marched with you today. /END Teachers Federation NSWTF

To receive such an endorsement from one of the world's leading experts on the Tudors, and a person whom I greatly respect and admire, means so much to me. Thank you Suzannah Lipscomb!

Without that knowledge you can not expect to have a positive culture in your school. Wonderful and memorable teachers are so much more than PDPs and professional standards. Great leaders know this.

Admin, when you visit classes this year & I hope you do often, don’t feel you have to critique EVERY time. Too often teachers are told, "you did great BUT", instead, " Leave the BUTS behind”. Let them know what they did well & move on. Leave them feeling validated & appreciated!

Begin the year focused on building those relationships and establishing respect both ways. Students work harder for teachers they respect and know cares about them. Adults do too.

Admin, there is no greater compliment than when teachers invite you in to see something new or innovative. This means they trust you enough to take risks. Creating an environment where teachers can shine bright or even safely fail is a Growth and innovative mindset!

As the new year begins, remember Education is not teacher centered or even student centered, but it is RELATIONSHIP centered. Teachers thrive w/ positive admin relationships & students thrive w/ positive teacher relationships.

Anne Gripton Read my chapter ‘Binaries’ in The Knowing & Caring Profession where I make this point about a number of issues in teaching where approaches are presented as polar opposites & teachers allocated to ideological camps whereas the vast majority draw on the best elements not extremes

johnqgoh itsFISKY @APPA22Conf Such a wonderful person! A powerful advocate. A strong thinker and a creative writer! I still remember that first story she had published for the Sydney Children’s writing competition - all about a horse. :)

Students don't need a perfect teacher. They need a happy teacher, who's gonna make them excited to come to school and grow a love for learning.

Proud teacher moment. The indomitable Hannah Diviney has just published her first book 🎉 😀 “I’ll let myself in” and I must say it is a powerful read! I always knew this day would come! Congratulations Hannah! 💜 booktopia.com.au/i-ll-let-mysel… #gottaread #booklovers

A little different today. Maybe someone can help… We’ve been trying to open a bank account with Lloyds for UK charity (Happy Doggo) for 5 months now. Replies are taking 1 month from them. Customer service ignoring us for weeks on end. We really need this account to help
