Jeremy Hunt was secretary of state for health, 2012-18. During that time thousands of babies were killed by failings in NHS care, and the consequences of his decisions then continue to be felt. He should be speaking under oath at a statutory public inquiry, not at a conference.

I'm not sure this will resonate with those harmed by NHS failures. Would less regulation and more trust have saved lives at Morecambe Bay, East Kent, Nottingham just to name some of the maternity ones.....
