The South African Association for Jazz Education is proud to celebrate the achievement of our President, Dr. Sibusiso Mash Mashiloane Sibusiso Mash Mashiloane, who has graduated with a PhD in Music. As he so beautifully puts it: “We have a Sound of Home. It is time for us to treasure it.”

It is moments like these that we celebrate the transformative power of music education. Seeing young talents from Greenwood Park Primary rise to the rhythm of South African jazz reminds us why we do what we do. Bravo to the next generation of storytellers and sound-shapers!🎷🇿🇦

We are deeply saddened by the physical passing of Bra Feya Faku, yet we are comforted by the knowledge that his spirit endures, ever present in the sound he left behind. We will continue to commune with him through his music, which speaks beyond time. #RIPFeyaFaku
