Anyone else think Enid Blyton's first name was pronounced 'Gnid' (the 'gn' as in 'gnu', rather than 'Gee-nid) because of the way her signature was reproduced on her books? I did when I was first learning to read. Nobody thought it charming or cute, though. I was 37 at the time.
