AMITAV SAHU’s work is now out in The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10… We reconcile conflicting spectroscopic observations by establishing precise connections between microscopic quantum dynamical details underlying electronic relaxation and the observed 2D lineshapes.
Vibrations that don't promote vibronic coupling can in fact be key witnesses of the mechanisms governing electronic relaxation. Researchers show how these intricate quantum dynamical details can be deciphered from 2D spectroscopy Vivek Tiwari AMITAV SAHU go.acs.org/5rt
exciting news from 2nd half of our optical table! opg.optica.org/optcon/fulltex… Optica Publishing Group We push pump-probe towards white-light micro-spectroscopy, w/ significant advantages over run-of-the-mill pump-probe. Congrats Vivek N Bhat ASHA THOMAS Atandrita Bhattacharyya Thanks SERB
Excellent review of polariton chemistry and its effects(?) on chemical reactions by my student AMITAV SAHU discussing the cool results of Yuen Zhou and Xiong et. al among other things. Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit Xiong Group Yuen-Zhou Research Group UCSD

[1/2] Do vibrational motions matter in driving singlet fission ? If so, wht kind of vibrations and how do I unambiguously distinguish the relevant ones using spectroscopy ? Check out our work to find out. Atandrita Bhattacharyya AMITAV SAHU @SanjoyP01204283 IISc Bangalore Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit
Thanks to the organizers of FCS XIV for giving me the opportunity to present our work at FCS XIV. I am happy to share that our poster has been selected for the Best Poster Award. Thanks to Vivek Tiwari for his guidance and support.Congratulations Vivek N Bhat @SanjoyP01204283
In a new study, researchers at IISc pinpoint the mechanism that drives the first step of singlet fission. Their findings provide key insights for designing solar cell materials. iisc.ac.in/beats-that-mat… #IIScresearch Vivek Tiwari
ASHA THOMAS , Vivek N Bhat 's joint work is out as Feature Article in The Journal of Chemical Physics . All we did was source spare parts from different projects, built a circuit, wrote a bunch of code and optimize. We thank all the funding agencies. Stay tuned. IISc Bangalore doi.org/10.1063/5.0179…
CD-ROM Cardboard Spectrograph from Rittika and Jitu seems more popular than the Coupled Pendula 2D Spectrum (Indranil)! #IIScOpenDay2024 Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit IISc Bangalore
Very excited to attend Amitav's concert this Thursday! First doctoral colloquium from the group! AMITAV SAHU
Amitav defended his Ph.D. dissertation today. It was an incredible journey that started from a lab space filled with construction material. He will soon be starting as postdoc at Lund University, a powerhouse in Chemical Physics. Kudos AMITAV SAHU , very excited for the future!
Really excited for Asha's Ph.D. Colloquium tomorrow! ASHA THOMAS along with AMITAV SAHU dared to join a research group at T = 0 with nothing but empty space. Hear about Asha's (and Vivek N Bhat 's) heroic Ph.D. efforts and some amazing science tomorrow! Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit

Amitav's paper on isolating the interesting quantum beats using 2D spectroscopy makes it to J Chem Phys and Chem Phys Rev Editors' Choice 2024 list! AMITAV SAHU Thank you The Journal of Chemical Physics for recognizing our ideas. Check it out below! pubs.aip.org/jcp/collection…
What does strong quantum beat amplitude and rotational flexibility implicate about the dynamics of intramolecular Singlet Fission? To know more check out my poster CH05-03.03 tomorrow from 5-7 PM at MRS 2025, seattle. #S25MRS Vivek Tiwari
Really excited for the CH-05: Multidimensional Spectroscopy (mini-CMDS) session at #S25MRS. I will be talking tomorrow about some well resolved x-peaks from our white light 2D, & fission boys Sanjoy Patra & Atandrita Bhattacharyya on their surprising new findings about singlet fission
