I had the privilege to be under David Hicks’s guidance in Denton ISD. He was an extremely genuine and humble leader. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

Admin, when doing walk-throughs, especially informally, don’t feel you have to add a critique EVERY time. Too often teachers are told, "you did great BUT", instead, " Leave the BUTS behind”. Let them know what they did well & move on. Leave them feeling validated & appreciated!

Hodge has lost an extraordinary AP today. She has left a lasting impact on students, teachers, and families. We will miss her dearly in so many ways, but take comfort in knowing she's still in Denton ISD TomasRiveraElemDenton ready to make a lasting impact on their amazing school.
