Officers are on scene of a pedestrian crash at Arlington Blvd and Woodlawn Ave near West Falls Church. The pedestrian, an adult male, was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene.(1/2)

NOW: Metro Transit Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a Metro bus driver on Aspen Street NW & 13th Street NW near the Old Water Reed campus ~2pm. One person has been transported by DC Fire & EMS, although the extent of injuries are unknown at this time.

Again a suburban police department outdoes the indifferent & unengaged DC Police Department on both traffic enforcement and messaging. Mayor Muriel Bowser CA Kevin Donahue DC deserves better.

It would seem problematic for a D.C. police officer to use an illegal license plate cover that could get any normal driver pulled over in the city. (And park their car with it in front of MPD headquarters, to boot.)
