since i joined shopify Ive been trying out a more cursor based flow since its really encouraged here my "senior dev" skills have improved a lot. but ive been feeling like my "get shit done" skills have atrophied a bit i used to be so fucking fast with just jetbrain autocomplete

high key you should basically never lower your rates to meet a clients budget a certain caliber of work is going to be expected based on your portfolio/reputation. clients cant truly understand how cutting corners impacts quality until youve sent the link and the invoice is due

shopify flow might actually be the best no-code backend tool in existence ...mainly because it lets you just write some code if you feel like it

i think i am being punished by the universe for shilling. because why else would it auto refresh every time i start to edit a flow lmao

been deep in storefront mcp implementations for the last few weeks. anyone on here deployed an ai shop assistant for a merchant? lmk how your experience was

i was at the openai office a few weeks ago and a solution architect looked me dead in the eyes and was like "we fixed naming in gpt5, naming makes sense now" anyways

last time i set up google sign-in i was using clerk/next.js and it ate up half the day just fixing random redirect and config bugs. & clerk is supposedly Easy Mode meanwhile adding the same feature to a shopify store is a 5 minute GCP console mission
