It's frustrating to see there's still no proactive plan in place to be activated during extreme weather (hot or cold) + or air quality. It doesn't need to be a scramble every season. It gets hot. It gets cold. There's poor air quality. Collaboratively plan for + deal with it 🤷🏻‍♀️

On July 14, the Sandman Centre concourse will open as the designated cooling centre until the end of the heat event. The cooling centre at the NHL Ice at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre will be in operation until 8:00 pm on Saturday, July 13. Kamloops.ca/Heat.
