I felt every step of brutality in THE LONG WALK that by the end I was soaked in my tears. Brutal, nihilistic yet tenderly human exploitation of boyhood. Showcasing how boyhood has been used as a spectacle to build a totalitarian America and the manipulation America places on men.

The Long Walk wrecked me. It works so well as a metaphor for life: the uphill battles, the friends you meet along the way, and hopefully, the acceptance you feel when you reach the end. It’s a difficult watch but a beautiful story.

No Other Choice (2025) dir. Park Chan-wook It’s a big shame that this film won’t get the recognition it deserves because this is absolutely one of the best movies to come out of 2025. Another reminder that Park Chan-wook is operating on a level few filmmakers can touch.
