Ig this explains why rnb was much bigger during the days of Ringo, Zamajobe and the likes… they brought it home. And most sang in vernac. Perhaps that’s why even Vusi Nova was as big as he was. Rnb artists today fail to blow up bc they sound like mainstream American artists

Let people be wrong about you. Know when to walk away. Leave behind what no longer aligns. Enjoy the resent without rushing to what's next. Be okay with not having all the answers and know when to rest instead of forcing progress.

I also think living in condos with lots of units has affected the neighbourly thing. If you have a standalone house the chances are you probably know Dave or whoever next door. Your neighbour’s door may be a bit too close for comfort in a complex. Human behaviour

My door is always open, that’s just how I was raised. The problem is when this isn’t reciprocal. Got to be careful in joburg because you can know someone for 15 years and never set foot in their place while they know ALL your teacups.

And don’t visit peoples homes to size them up. That’s bad manners. Act like you have SOME home training. Just behave yourself and sit still. Don’t start making remarks and asking too many questions.

By the way, You’re talking to people who prepensely detach from human interaction, and are boastful about it, I might add. I don’t know how many times people on here talk about hating small talk or even make shocking comments about basic human principles like greeting.

Unga’rushi to settle. Travel, study further, bhaya idladla ulimanzise & fully kit it, lungisa edladleni if you have to, and do things which excite you. Just focus on personal development for 3-5yrs. I promise you, you’ll thank yourself for it.

It’s important for artists to connect with their fans outside of performances and social media, Riky used to do it so well with his Pop-Ups selling merch and just vibing with his fans. Your fanbase is your community, they’re not just consumers of your art.

I hear you but I find it better to focus on personal development alone without having competing demands and interests. People with a bit of life experience be it through studying further, travel and work usually make better life partners generally speaking.

You can’t touch Cass when it comes to the business of music. That broer is far gone and ahead. Marketing genius, brand mastermind.

Nchema The content became too Black, it felt like you were listening to YFM, except on a few shows that played Pop & Rock, and that changed the target audience for their long-term advertisers which was predominantly a young White audience. That shift from their core demographic was bad
