Late to post a moment at Stephen Unwin Beautiful Lives launch: Joey with his book, and pa. Pic says it all: a book driven by love, on people overlooked in history, arts, politics (life!) and why that's wrong: hachette.co.uk/titles/stephen… Buoyed by seeing lots of good faces there too🙏

AN EHCP IS NOT A BENEFIT. It's a plan that asseses a child's needs for education, health and social support. It guarantees help in those areas. It's NOT a benefit. Sky News

Learning Disability Today is proud to be part of the new #SaveOurChildrensRights joint campaign to ensure that the government does not remove EHC plans and weaken legal rights for children with SEND. Thank you to everyone who signed our open letter! 👇saveourchildrensrights.org.uk

'If Labour takes away so many children’s basic educational rights, it may well end up leaving them at the mercy of politicians who will then vandalise their lives.'🔽

Vital new campaign: saveourchildrensrights.org.uk Labour, the party of social justice, promised 'every child life chances'. Now, on top of benefits cuts, it's threatening the educational rights of children with special educational needs and disabilities. theguardian.com/education/2025…

Oh. Education secretary launches National Year of Reading 'to boost kids’ literacy and life chances'. Might be good to protect kids' basic educational rights if you want them to go to school and learn to read. Unless that doesn't apply to all kids. gov.uk/government/new…

A format often missing in policy comms - not here💫 Easy read Save Our Children's Rights: fighting plans to cut basic educational rights. 'Children with SEND might lose their right to important help at school called an Education, Health and Care Plan' static.filmer.tech/sites/saveourc…

I'm a signatory because the support my sister Raana had at school helped lay the foundation for her future as an adult. This govt is threatening children and young people's right to an education and - with benefits at risk - the support this group would rely on as adults.

It fully blows my mind how much misinformation is permitted to circulate about support for children and young people with SEND 🤯

I wrote this on the latest Gregg Wallace hoo-ha for The i Paper "I’m going to go out on a limb here and say the vast majority of autistic men manage to hold down a career – day in, day out – without once feeling the need to get their tackle out in public". inews.co.uk/inews-lifestyl…

Horrendous prospect this: the rights-grab leaves children and families 'at the mercy of politicians who will then vandalise their lives'. #SaveOurChildrensRights
