Fun, engaging, and supportive sessions as NQTs worked with South Ayrshire Learns and colleagues across similar stages/settings — sharing ideas, building relationships, and a supportive network. Focus was on scaffolding and meaningful, context-based strategies to set learners up for success!

Love seeing our training put into action! Pupils explored the outdoors, gathered natural materials and wrote poems inspired by our recent Outdoor Learning training with practitioners in the Girvan Cluster - can’t wait to hear more from Miss Burton at the next session!

At our First Level Programme, South Ayrshire Reads and Sally Law upskilled us on theories and pedagogical approaches to writing across First Level. We’re now equipped with fresh ideas and a deeper understanding of how to make writing meaningful, inclusive, and purposeful for all learners💡

Our NQTs met to explore the Why, What, When, and How of Assessment. High levels of engagement and rich discussion throughout, with active participation of a range of assessment strategies that could be used to assess their learners effectively.
