Not sure you call it a Chinook when we haven’t had any cold weather yet. But #swSask is feeling very mild today!

Some prairie scenes from #SwSask on a beautiful December day. Not double digits temps like earlier in the week but still mild. Got just a skiff of snow.

Was a bit cooler this morn in #swSask around -12C with some frost. Another beautiful December day as now above freezing with clear blue skies and little wind.

The mule deer population in the extreme #swSask corner has had a sharp drop. I think the deep snow pack last year combined with CWD had a lot to do with it. Use to see 50-100 deer on the daily walk. Now lucky to see 1!

A dazzling but cool start to Christmas Day in #swSask. We hit -15C this morn but going to be a beautiful day. Safe travels to all!

The saying “if you don’t like the weather, wait 5 min” has not rung true in #swSask. We have had weeks of blue skies, daytime temps above freezing & best of all no wind! Not complaining!

I am looking for a 2024 wall calendar that shows western Canadian scenes (scenery etc). If anyone can direct me to someone who sells such an item it would be appreciated.

A bit of snow, freezing temps and a cold north wind in #swSask. Old man winter reminding us he may be late but he has arrived.

Around 15 cm (6 inches) of snow in extreme #swSask. This was in protected backyard. Out on the prairie was lots of wind. Hard to measure as it all blew in ditches, windbreaks etc. Quite light and fluffy. Not high moisture content #skstorm

Swans passing through #swSask on spring #migration.

From March 20-23, we received 20-25 cm (10-12 inches) of snow. Has been a slow melt but getting some runoff in the extreme corner of #swSask. Also saw a snowy owl today. Rather late for them!

Had 1/2 inch (12 ml) of rain overnight. Got rid of most of the snow here in the corner of #swSask. Irrigation season doesn’t start for another month but some of the irrigation ditches were running melt water!

The dugouts are frozen after a very cold night here in the extreme #swSask corner. No snow or moisture the past few days. Just a nasty wind & cold temps.

Signs of spring in #swSask. Spiny phlox is blooming and a Savannah sparrow singing loudly on a beautiful morning. Light rain moved in around 3:00.
